Born poor in Amaranthine, when Terrowin’s sister was discovered to have magical powers, Terrowyn volunteered himself to join the Templar order, hoping that he could protect his sister. Once he joined, he found that the Chantry keeps mages separated from templar family members to reduce the chance of corruption, so he kept his sister being a mage secret.
Having completed most of his training, he hopes to discover what Circle his sister has been placed in so that he can request a transfer there.
Terrowin has a strong sense of family, and nothing is more important to him than his sister. His sister being a mage has shaped his view of mage/Chantry relations, and can be overly zealous when it comes to combating injustice against mages.
In adition to his sister, Terrowin has formed a budding friendship with his superior, Ser Hayder, whose life story bares a close resemblance to his own.
He also has noticed that Ranelle has magical talent and feels compelled to protect her, seeing her much like a surrogate little sister.
He finds it hard to like Cash Money, as the Qunari people’s life mission of conquest is a threat to the Chantry and an affront to the Maker.
